I think it is Phil Donahue who is. Ready to join us here. On the Hill Man Morning Show I fell. Bill. How are -- I'm your guy well we're. I mean I gotta tell you right off the bat have been getting some emails from people saying you know it's veterans day law why do you have film -- -- line talking about in the anti war film. Well. I think until well after that question. I'm anxious for your listeners and especially the ones to war. Suspicious. I want them to hear they'll. At 7 o'clock on the Sundance -- And for those who suggest that that to criticize toward him. Bending the brave young men and women we've sent to fight it. We should remind them. That. Thousands of Americans have gone to war to protect our way of life during path toward common we have done right. To protect our nation at this summer about -- like complete speech. Are you suggesting that. Once you commit people why you're not allowed to criticize toward that your position. And were going to be at war forever yeah. -- and we're also wasting the blood of those people who fought and died that we could have the right to dissent and protest. Stop wasting their blood we will get -- -- Mussolini you know we can have any kind of country will want to get we can get a dictator developed what the what's good for us and make all the decisions behind closed door if it's up do you what kind of country you want. Well this this is I think maybe the rub with people on that I know that this is a apart of where you're going -- this film but. You know this is not a George Bush is not a dictator in and the they -- congress this country voted to go to war and sell. I think people looked -- did a film like this and they say wow is is is filled by use message. Giving comfort to the enemies the United States perhaps. We have the president says we're not allowed to take pictures of the club. And the whole progressive okay. If we are going to defend our nation to the war. We have a responsibility. And show our fellow. Americans. The sacrifices that are being made by thousands of families in this country who are totally invincible. And by the way. This president. Has cracked and chipped away at the bedrock of this nation we put people in cajun -- five years. No phone calls no. Paper you know nothing you know dubious corporate. You're you're -- in any -- you're experience while beloved son that has gone through our email to listen to cell phone call telling -- that people tell you just fire off the pillow where people polar -- softened water board them bill -- -- America. Now and people protest -- those who stand up and protest wanna take another look at the current. Yeah has the and by the way Johnny but we're gonna want. Not. Constitutional I'm sure I -- -- -- talking McGregor Kevin. Yeah -- well you're talking none of us are allowed to respond has the president gone through many of your emails -- And and I guess you wouldn't let me let me just ask you if then I'm being serious here. If if this a war had not occurred would you have gone and made this movie. About and Iraqi child whose parents were gassed by Saddam Hussein would you have had the same care effort for those -- I think. I think that movie ought to be made. Okay justice Susan good. I think we have -- over 4000. Young men and women many of whom could do a better radio show -- better talk show and Wilton. Never gets the opportunity. Because -- look -- the Hilton while the web attacks this year up. -- in front of the cameras and Red -- -- long live the rest what would you have had him say you know when we were attacked I know. Thomas. And were attacked by Iraq. Splitting time you were not. Attacked by Iraq. You'll against going to Afghanistan anyway feel so yeah -- where we went through all yeah I don't know that that's a convenient that is a that is a human being in that as a comedian -- promote. Powerful nation on. Should not be dropping bombs I'm people who live in cases. Yeah this is not good for the well being of our grandchildren why we shouldn't let us know -- anger for the rest of the country. He sits at reading we should sit back and wait till those people come over here and drop bombs on us that's I can tell you wanna buy lunch today let me. You wanna -- -- what are common data anybody who wants anybody who has evil intent in this country I think needs to understand. We -- personal intentions. I trust you go like I mean we've we've bombed Grenada for God's sakes. We are dropping bombs on crowded city at night to -- old people and children are sleeping. Andy and saying we're gonna drop bombs on people that we think are gonna come and. Well in this case bill this one particular case which you're referring to we went into a country and we removed the man who had killed. 500. Thousand. People that sounds like it is worthy and noble on our part I know that you don't necessarily have that same respect for those people that he killed. As you have for the people that. And on military. But -- Hitler it's just do it's not. You don't know how much respect I have for any you don't even know me you don't know what's in my heart. Disagree with me on the issues but don't tell me I don't care that's what you know. That's where it goes it goes to the personal it's personal I enjoy it's I think I don't just -- people who doesn't that they can't bill O'Donnell who just he's -- him and judge my body. I'm judging you by your actions because I can't understand how a man who is an intelligent guy. Doesn't sit here and say. It would it would regardless of the lead up to war what information was given what -- the outcome of removing a ruthless dictator who killed. 500000. People. Doesn't appear to be noble -- so tell me correct me if I'm wrong is that noble. You know I don't think it's noble sacrifice. 4100. American young lives to drive because we've got that will be in Iraq. I think we ought to call a patent. With the left of peaceful nations and move them out that way we don't have when I'm not the world policeman. And we shouldn't put this burden on the streets of our children I would ask you would you send your child to this war at this moment. If my child decides to -- -- nobody sends their child these -- eighteen year old to decide what our our. Child I would be first of I would I would admire the person for their courage I would tell them that you know they had courage that I don't have an and then I would be absolutely concerned for their safety but. I would not sit here and say that that person who chooses to go and join the military and fight is somehow can jolt into it. By recruiters or and and or by that the president that well at Thomas Thomas young says in this film that and. So he saw the president on the piles on the president's. In any in and I believe when I was reading your ear your letter that you have on the on your website about. The film he talked about the recruiters in the laptop. Laptop warriors who are in convincing these young people to join the military -- so I do think that's a message viewers it five and. I think you can do do Michael Moore a well known I'm on night. I listened I wanna give you a chance to -- you gotta go but I I wanna give you chance body of war is on tonight this is your message what what. What is the message of the film. The messages that we have thousands of people in this country who made. By the way they amount to only less than 5% of who have made a sacrifice for this war. If you're going to send a nation to war then we have a responsibility. To show the sacrifices that proud Americans are making. In our behalf. Don't sanitize the walk these people aren't valuable than the elaborate. This is wrong. We should have seen them we should -- every funeral we should leave the pain. Don't sanitize the war that's what body of war is about. And we're pleased to have this chance on you are very popular program to plug its airing tonight I'm at Sundance Channel at 7 o'clock. Well thank you. Thank you thank you very much you and I disagree but that's America.
